As we’ve been slugging it out in our garden day after day from early April until now, I keep thinking of all the times you’ve talked about laborious and difficult tasks making us sturdy people. It’s been an inspiration as we’ve worked through things like our lovely Virginia humidity and bugs (squash AND Japanese beetles here…the bane of my and my roses’ existence!) You put the “why” into words beautifully.
Don't really have any, ha! A broadfork can help with straight carrots if you're not growing in a raised bed and pelleted seeds help from overplanting. I always grow Danver carrots :)
I’m in Bend, OR which I’ve gathered is a similar environment to where ever you are in WA, but either we have something different in our climates or Im missing some serious knowledge. Your cabbage and cauliflower are huge and ready way earlier than mine. I’d love to know what varieties you use and also your garden schedule if you’re willing to share. It seems like you get your seeds started very early? I’d love to know more of the nitty gritty. Maybe a podcast episode? That would likely be interesting to hear the differences in you and Angela’s schedules for the garden and plants.

Share your secret for beautiful carrots?

Thank you.
Beautiful harvest!!!
I love harvest videos - anything that shows your garden and its bounty is my favorite!

Yes I’d love this, too!
