Hello my friends!
I’m not going to say that I’m limping to the homeschool finish line, but rather, we’ve left the race entirely. This is the season of gazing at bumblebees, tasting the tenderness of spring herbs, and harvesting dandelion greens. I simply don’t want to focus on math facts at the moment.
Today marks the end of our calendar year for school, which means that our days ahead can be filled with plenty of food entered home-education. This means experience planting crops, tending to chickens, milking the cow and sheep, and soon enough, preserving the harvest. It’s the season of fermenting, home-brewing, and tincture-ing (not a word, but it should be). Point being: IT’S ALL OUT THERE FOR THE TAKING! I, for one, am hungry for it all.
So let’s get cooking! Don’t forget, there’s a printable version and also a PDF with clickable links below. I’m right here with you!
As a quick reminder, we offer our $5/month paid newsletter supporters two menus each month. Each printable menu will cover 10-days worth of seasonal meals and will include notes on when to mix sourdough, soak beans, etc. Recipes are linked to blog posts or YouTube videos, as applicable.
Also worth noting, every Cooking Community member also gets access to our menus over on our app. So whether you support The Elliot Homestead here or there, we’ve got you covered. Over in our Cooking Community, we offer 5 new recipes each month, along with instructional cooking videos for each one and an exclusive, private online social community of home-cooks.
Here’s a peek at what we’re cooking in our community this month. Look good? Join in!
