I’m hosting Thanksgiving this year for my family - and not just my family. My sisters, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and parents will be joining in as well. Our Thanksgiving table often includes neighbors, friends, and anyone else we may randomly find roaming the streets. It’s how I like it. Open, simple, and comforting.
My first few years of hosting were a bit of a flop, if I’m being honest. I tried to change too much. Tried to put my spin on it. Tried to find my own footing. This year, I’m reviving the joy a bit by sticking to the basics, keeping with family traditions that make everyone happy and comfortable, and trying to remember to have fun as much as plan.
These super quick einkorn shortbreads are part of the basics, part of tradition, and also part of the fun.
Just five ingredients (I share my secrets in the video on how to make sure they’re really good). This recipe will give you one dough that you can use in lots of different ways and without compromise to 1) flavor and 2) nutrition.
You can watch the video of me making the shortbreads right here.
Or, because you’re a wonderful newsletter subscriber that I’m so very grateful for, here’s a printable recipe for you if you’d it.
Happy baking, my friends.
Cheers,
Shaye
