DEMOLITION DAY.
We’ve waited in anticipation for over 11 months for this very day. It was 11 months ago that we first met with the architect and set out to change the bottom floor of our cottage. 600 square feet of unrealized potential stood before us (all chronicled in “Let’s Make A Bedroom / Part One” right here).
Kenny, our contractor, arrived with a team of help, a dump trailer, and a sledge hammer bright and early Monday morning.
That’s what I like to see! Sledge hammers mean progress (like when Stuart used one to take down our kitchen cabinets over 5 years ago). I always take a sledge hammer to start a project. The potential seems limitless with all that power!
Let’s take it to the basement.
Here’s the view, standing in the basement, looking up the stairs towards the living room.
