Hello my friends,
A turtle and a hare had a race. The hare is long gone, darting in and out, moving too quickly to take notice, overly confident in his victory. The turtle on the other hand slowly trudges along “piano e piano” (that is slowly and slowly) until eventually it crosses the finish line first while the hare has long since become distracted with a new task or adventure.
We all know the fable: slow and steady wins the race.
And so it goes with every project we’ve ever attempted ever.
“Piano e piano…” I murmur to myself as I prepare to paint another coat on the newly shiplapped walls. The roller sludges back and forth in the chosen yellow paint, covering one board… then another… then another…
“Piano e piano!” becomes my battle cry as I beat my chest in victory, marking small tasks off the lengthy list, sometimes with weeks in between efforts.
