Hello my friends,
Perhaps one of the best side affects of all our efforts in the garden and preserving and growing our food is the time that we get to spend together, gathered around a task. Our hands and our children’s hands are put to work in a way that benefits us all. They have a mission, an important one. It’s not mindless, or un-necessary busy work - it’s important work and work that they get to be a part of and play an important roll in.
We have a mutual goal. Together.

Have a wonderful weekend, my friends.
Cheers,

Loved it!
We have a different variety of elderberries that ripen over a couple weeks, so I started putting them in freezer bags and freezing until I could use them all at once. I found that if I shake a bag while they’re still frozen the berries fall right off and the stems are super easy to scoop out. They kinda clump together. It’s way less messy for me, fewer berries flung around the house…if the bag is sealed tightly…
