Hello my friends,

Ironically, as I write this, I’m not at home. If you watch today’s new video on homemaking in the summer, you may take notice of one of the important points: scheduled fun. We’re doing just that and enjoying some time on the Canadian border with friends for two days (as long as we can stretch a quick escape with milking duties).

Plus all of our kids are quite excited to get the Canadian stamp in their passports.

But homemaking in the summer doesn’t stop at scheduled fun. It involves menus, laundry, cleaning, and brain-work (not only for us, but for the kids too) - all thoughtfully curated into a schedule and rhythm that works well for the season.

So pour a glass and enjoy our time together, talking through how we’ve found it helpful to manage the home in the coming season.
